Reade Engineering prides itself in the ability to offer a speedy, practical and imaginative design service for such specialised items as spiral stairs, fire escapes, and reproduction railings.
Upon receipt of the initial enquiry, the site is inspected, and in conjunction with the Client, Reade Engineering will design a structure which is both functional and economical. The experienced personnel available can often suggest design features which maximise the use of limited space, or overcome physical or design obstacles, often effecting considerable cost savings as a result.

FIRE ESCAPES

The majority of large buildings were designed and constructed long before the provision of fire escapes acceptable to modern regulations were considered necessary. 'Today, however, it is essential both in terms of legal and moral obligation, that the means of escape available in the event of fire, conform to a very high standard. This obligation is best served by the provision of steel fire escape stairs.
In both the existing, and new building situation, steel stairs can be designed to harmonise with any materials. Providing the tried and trusted qualities judged to be successful by continually withstanding the extreme stresses of fire. The choice, of spiral or conventional staircases further extend the flexibility available to the designer.
